Client Feedback

I often collect feedback from clients and can honestly say that I have never had anything negative said to me.

Below are some quotes from clients who have bought my work, people who have commissioned me to run projects and also from participants of workshops.

“I would like to thank you for the magnificent workshop you shared with us last Saturday, you were a true inspiration. Our young performers were delighted to be given the opportunity to explore the magic of shadow puppetry; an uncomplicated but incredibly beautiful art. They were positively encouraged by your engaging workshop and thoroughly enjoyed the element of play. Every individual has experienced something new through your session; learning skills which they are inspired to continue to develop. We are extremely excited to share their new talents with family and friends at our showcase. Thank you.”

Sarah Crackles, Youth Theatre at The Grand, Clitheroe

“The creations of Sarah Hicks, her artworks and the work she facilitates within her community, are infused with a love of nature, a sensitivity to humanity and a beautiful aesthetic. She is a truly gifted and talented artist.”

Adam Bennett, Director, Dynamic New Animation

“We have 2 pieces of art specially commissioned from Sarah in our home. She is a very talented young lady- every home should have one of her paintings.”

Mary Judkins, Wakefield

“Sarah Hicks has worked with DNA puppetry and visual theatre, as lead workshop artist, for over 6 years. She is a very talented visual artist, able to adapt to children and young people’s creative needs within any setting, as a thoughtful and fully engaged professional. Her experience extends from early years to young people of all ages, from leading sessions in schools to out in the community and at festivals. She is well regarded in her field and able to engage fully in her practice, including behaviour problem and excluded young people in a wide variety of arts techniques. As an artist in education, she is responsible and considered with a disposition toward the research and evaluation of her work. I would not hesitate to support Sarah in any application to work in the creative arts with young people.”

Rachel Riggs, Artistic director, Imaginary Leaps and Dynamic New Animation

"Sarah Hicks has worked very successfully with hard to reach families in Blackpool on various projects.  She has an enthusiastic, creative and friendly approach and always engages participants in activity that they own. She provides clear plans and good variation of activities that move participants on in their learning and own art form development. The sunflower project developed with Sarah enabled families to engage positively with their environment, plant, grow and work with nature in a creative way. It was also used to create collective pieces to express their community. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sarah for work in creative arts."

Celine Wyatt. Schools Cultural Development Officer, Blackpool Council

“Sarah has done various projects in a professional capacity for me. Her work is of the very highest standard and quality is paramount. Sarah has always delivered to the specified standard, often working to the tightest deadlines. Her work is innovative, creative and beautifully finished............Her commitment to young people and local groups is a testimony to her caring spirit.”

“Just a quick note to say thank you so much for the children's party work shop you hosted for Niall and Erin-Mays birthday.

You did a fantastic job and my life could not have been easier on the day with 25 children all engrossed in creating gorgeous pieces of work to take home with their party bags. Thanks again.”

“Sarah did 2 of my kids birthday parties and I’m still getting comments from parents now about how great they were! One parent even said its the most fun her son had had in ages!”

Emma Liddle, parent.

“We've used it (the ball pool) and can confirm that it is great in every sense. The kids loved it. Sarah also ran an art party for us last year. Can thoroughly recommend!”
